OFFICERS' PEAL AT
BRERETON FOR THE
WORLDWIDE BRERETON REUNION, 1st August, 2001
On
1st August, 2001, the Society was invited to ring a peal at the home of the first Master
of the Society. Brereton bell were originally installed by William, Second Lord of
Brereton at St Oswald's, Brereton, Cheshire. The occasion was a Worldwide Reunion of
members of the Brereton Family, who in their generosity, are supporting the project to
restore this ring of five and augment them to six. A full report is currently being
prepared by the Secretary, but may it suffice to say that the day was a success and the
Society's link with its first Master's family and legacy were strengthened. |
